Vacant Board Seats

The following board seats are currently vacant:

 

a. (1) At-Large Seat, candidate must live, work or own real property in the Wilmington Neighborhood Council boundaries

b. (1) Live Representative-Candidate must be at least 18 years of age and lives within the boundaries of the Wilmington Neighborhood Council.

c. (1) Own Representative-Candidate must be at least 18 years of age and owns real property within the boundaries of the Wilmington Neighborhood Council.

d. (1) Work Representative --Candidate must be at least 18 years of age and work within the boundaries of the Wilmington Neighborhood Council

 

Board vacancies will be filled at our next WNC governing board & stakeholder meeting or as otherwise determined by the new incoming board.

 

The Stakeholders who are elected to hold positions on the Wilmington Neighborhood Council Governing Board will be expected to serve on one or more committees, assist in outreach to involve other stakeholders, take actions impacting our community, demonstrate a passion and commitment to our community and adhere to the WNC Code of Civility. Additionally, Ethics & Funding training are mandatory and must be updated accordingly. Board meeting are held on the 4th Tuesday each month.
 

Please print or type a statement that expresses your interest in becoming a WNC Board Member in less than 100 words. This will also become your Candidacy Statement that will be shared with the Wilmington Stakeholders. The Candidacy Statement should include your name, qualifications and interest in the Wilmington community that expresses your desire to serve on the WNC Governing Board.
 

Applications will only be received via email to WilmingtonNC@empowerla.org.   No hand deliveries to board members/by

mail. Applications will be taken until all seats are filled.
